A sneak peek of the hockey season....
School...
One word. So many options...
Let's sum up Madden's first 2 weeks of school...
First day:
Second day:
Third day:
Aside from the head lice notice, he says on the way home,
On the weekend, Kyle asked him who he liked better, Eugenie Bouchard or *that girl*.
He's also wondered aloud if Mrs. Pozzebon, his teacher, would be inviting him for a pool party...

Comes home, tells his father, "You should have seen **** (girl he has a major crush on) in her leopard print dress today!"
Second day:
"In music class today, we had to play an instrument and I had to stand up so I could beat my foot in time with the shaker thing so I looked real good..."
Third day:
Aside from the head lice notice, he says on the way home,
"So, I asked *that girl* if she would ask her mom if she could come for a sleep over... I expect her answer tomorrow..."
On the weekend, Kyle asked him who he liked better, Eugenie Bouchard or *that girl*.
"Definitely *that girl* cuz I get to see her in person every day and she knows me & I know her..."
He's also wondered aloud if Mrs. Pozzebon, his teacher, would be inviting him for a pool party...
The night he "practiced his whole life for"
It was a big moment!
We got a phone call asking us if Madden wanted to be the Screaming Eagles 7th player at the hockey game!
When I finally decided to tell him (which I wasn't' going to in fear he wouldn't sleep with excitement!), he just stood there in stunned silence.
And so he did! With his favourite player, Jason Bell #4.

What does that mean?
Well, you know when the starting line up comes out & lines up for 'O Canada', then a little Eagle comes out? Well, you're gonna be that little Eagle tomorrow (Friday) night!
Seriously?!
Yep.
Wow. I've waited and practiced my whole life for this! Remember when I was standing right there when I was two and you took a video of me doing this to O Canada?! Now I get to do it!
And so he did! With his favourite player, Jason Bell #4.
This month's edition of the Madden Gillis Hockey News
- Madden has just informed me he's a "STIPER" in hockey. I replied, "I think you mean 'sniper'". He says, "NOooooo. It's a STIPER cuz I use my STICK to score lotsa goals. I don't use my snick. I'm practicing..." ooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkk then...
- Madden was just watching the French CBC station. I asked him what he was doing,
"I'm practicing. A lot of hockey players speak French you know."
Too smart for his own good, in my humble opinion....
While playing in the living room we were pretty sure we heard a certain F word being uttered by his little voice.
Then he proceeded to explain the phonetics of both to Kyle. LOL
It's almost bed time. Taing do Dhia!
"DID YOU JUST SAY THE F-WORD, MADDEN?!?!" Kyle exclaims
"I accidentally said the F word. But I meant to say I wanted a drink. I didn't mean it. I PROMISE...." and he continues, just to smooth things over, "And really, when you think about it, it sounds a lot like another F word... FART!"
Then he proceeded to explain the phonetics of both to Kyle. LOL
It's almost bed time. Taing do Dhia!
Analyzing from behind...
Last evening while we were getting ready to go to skating, I was walking in our porch to get Madden's sneakers. He stopped me, all of a sudden:
Mom! Mom! Stop!
What Madden?
How come when you walk your butt cheeks go all like this? [and he proceeded to walk with a deliberate arse wiggle from side to side]
Ugh. Little arse himself.
All in one day...
... actually in the span of 2 hours:
We were driving a friend home from school & she and I were talking in the front seat. Well, Mr. Madden was feeling a bit left out.

Then later when we got home, he was being a not-so-good boy. I got cross at him & yelled "MADDEN GILLIS!"
He just looked at me with this stunned little grin on his face and said,
We were driving a friend home from school & she and I were talking in the front seat. Well, Mr. Madden was feeling a bit left out.
"Mommy.... Mommmmy!.... MOMMY?!?!?!"
Yes, Madden?
"What you guys talkin' bout?"
Oh, the price of tea...
"Yeah, right. T...U...V...W...X, Y, Z!"

"You forgot the Iain Ruaraidh part"
Madden's Dedication to Our Country... for the sake of hockey
This would be his pre-kitchen-game ritual.
